I love Christmas. I love decorating for Christmas… I have three Christmas trees. I like to make my trees look like one in a mall. I always thought they looked so pretty. My daughter has a tree in her room and all of her special decorations she makes goes on that one.
I start off by fluffing the tree out. I touch every branch and make sure they are all separate. I then add the skirt.
I then add the ribbon. I normally like a thick ribbon paired with a thin one. For this one I used a thick mesh one. I cut the strips small and make a loop shape with them. I have them going all different directions.
I then add some filler to the tree. I love pine cones because they are free and big. I just grab the ones outside for my tree.
The next step is the big ornaments. I like having different sizes to give dimension.
Now it’s time for the medium size ornaments.
I even have really small ornaments. These are my favorite because that’s where you see a lot of contrast in them.
The last step is a topper. For fake trees, I like a bow because angels are just too heavy for them to stay upright.
I love how simple this tree looks from a far. Once you are up close, you notice all of the details in it. I really like the way it looks.
