Everyone has to stay home right now. No one can have babysitters or grandparents to watch kids. It sounds like having dates with your significant other is out of the question. That’s where you are wrong. We never have anyone who wants to come over and watch our kid, so all of our dates are at home styled.

What you should do, is plan ahead of time. Know in advance that you want a special time just for the two of you. Wait until your kid goes to bed.

Special Dinner

Okay this one is a bit hard for me because I don’t like waiting until after eight to eat dinner. When we do do this however, I really like it. Find a dinner that the two of you love that your kid doesn’t even like. We normally have sushi or steak. We make the meal together and light a candle. It sounds simple but it is so nice having a meal with just the two of you. A meal that you don’t have to hear how icky the food is. A meal where you don’t have to hear all about Frozen. You are able to talk about what is special to the two of you.

Bible Study

When you hear this, it does not sound like an exciting date. My man is my favorite person to read the Bible with. We are able to be vulnerable and ask one another questions we may have on that chapter. It is really a great bonding experience.

Video Games

This is a great way to goof off together. I love being silly with my man. We have a ton of fun together and when we are in a relaxed situation, we let all of our goofiness out. We normally play Mario Kary or Smash Bros on the Switch together. We’ve been loving playing separate games but cuddling lately. I’ve been playing Animal Crossings and he’s been playing a shooting game on the play station.

Legos

This is something I don’t know why more couples do. We get a big Lego set and just build it together. I like it because it is a thinking activity.

Movie Night

This is something a ton of people do. I love watching TV. When you watch a movie together, you can cuddle and eat snacks. This is one of my favorite dates.
